Here below the interviews of Bulgarian Team
1 – How has the ‘Women with Big Dreams’ training shaped your perspective on women entrepreneurship?
“It has certainly broadened my vision about women entrepreneurship. It was wonderful that everyone had different interests and business ideas, and then we had to look up successful women entrepreneurs in each area and give a short introduction of their accomplishments. The training was very inspiring and also gave me great practical information and experience about making a business plan, acquiring and incorporating feedback, and pitching your ideas to people.” – Vili Petrova
“It made me think about what makes me happy and what I really want to achieve in life. I saw that even in a small group of people, I can find individuals with the same desires and dreams as mine. We collaborated together with pleasure and excitement. The result was a business plan that can be implemented in the real world one day.” – Vili Toncheva
“The project helped me understand that women are also capable of being good entrepreneurs, even more than men. And it gave me the courage to think about what I really wanted to do.” – Kalina Borisova
“As a woman who took part in the ‘Women with Big Dreams’ training, it significantly influenced how I view female entrepreneurship. I have gained useful knowledge, skills, and guidance from the program, which has given me the courage to go after my goals. It has made me more aware of the boundless potential and possibilities that exist for women in the business sector. In general, it has stoked a fire inside of me that fuels my determination to be successful and break down barriers as a female entrepreneur.” – Borislava Borisova
2 – What have you learned from the two entrepreneurs that came to talk to the Women with Big Dreams project? Which is the most powerful lesson learned?
“Firstly, it was a great experience to get familiar with practical examples of two different types of entrepreneurship and to be able to ask questions and receive information directly from the source. The most powerful lesson I learned from the two entrepreneurs that came to talk to the Women with Big Dreams project is the importance of perseverance, having a clear view, and working towards your aim without distractions and excuses. Also, how important it is to test your product as a customer with real money/investment because only then you will be able to really have a critical view and work hard toward eliminating problems and refining the quality.” – Vili Petrova
“The entrepreneurs’ speeches had a huge impact on me. It helped me understand the importance and the commitment I must be ready to give for my dream to become true. I could ask in firsthand important questions that were essential for me to understand how a Youth center for people with disabilities can work in a long-term period.” – Vili Toncheva
“We learned a lot from both entrepreneurs. How to become the best in your field from scratch was the most interesting. How fate can turn your life in a different direction and that direction helps more people. Starting a foundation to help people with autism is a wonderful thing and very hard work.” – Kalina Borisova
“The two entrepreneurs who spoke at the Women with Big Dreams project imparted priceless wisdom that has had an enormous impact on the way I think. I discovered the value of combining one’s knowledge and enthusiasm to produce a successful software solution from a seasoned Italian businessman. His story served as a reminder of how crucial persistence, adaptation, and ongoing learning are in the corporate world. The person who made the biggest impact on me, nevertheless, was the social activist entrepreneur. Her commitment to empowering people with autism and giving them worthwhile opportunities demonstrated the transforming effect of fusing economic savvy with a worthwhile cause. Her experience motivated me to think about how I may elevate neglected groups while having a beneficial impact through my business pursuits.” – Borislava Borisova
3 – What will you do now in your community to foster women entrepreneurship and/or help young women in need become empowered through entrepreneurship?
“I would encourage women with conceptions to pursue their ideas and work toward their own business by sharing the knowledge I gained during this training. I could do it through workshops and presentations, by giving ideas and feedback. I hope I will be able to give my own example, as I went into the project with an idea and a small start, and now I plan to develop it further, based on all the support and feedback I got. Afterwards, I can use this channel as well to promote the idea of women entrepreneurship and support other young women in need to become empowered through entrepreneurship.” – Vili Petrova
“I would use some of the practices we did in the training course to help them realize and understand what they love to do, what’s their goal in life, and how to achieve it step by step.” – Vili Toncheva
“I will give more courage to acquaintances and friends to pursue their dreams, no matter how impossible they may be. I will pass on what I learned from the project to give them strength and courage not to give up, no matter how difficult it is to implement them.” – Kalina Borisova
“I will support women entrepreneurship in my community by providing mentorship, organizing workshops, facilitating networking opportunities, promoting funding options, and advocating for gender equality in entrepreneurship. Through these efforts, I aim to empower young women to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and create a supportive ecosystem for their success.” – Borislava Borisova
