Global news – Italian Team Dissemination – Breaking the NEET Circle
Can you give us your opinion about the project “Breaking the NEET Cycle” and your Erasmus+ experience? Personally for us of the Italian team it was a wondeful experience, useful to improve our skills with English and to socialise with people from other countries, it was also a great opportunity to learn about the NEETS and the situations that could cause them to exist, in addition to the fact that we have perfectly illustrated the countless job opportunities and the platforms where to research it that the European Union offers.
How was your perspective on young people in NEET situations changed as a result of partecipating in this training course? What were the most valuable takeaways from the course for you personally? My opinion on the NEETS has not changed, not being previously aware of them, but I still realised that they are people in difficulty who need help, the main lessons I carry away are teamwork, communication through a common language between people who come from different countries and cultures and the link that was created in our group in this fantastic week.
In your opinion, what are some effective methods to engage young NEETs and prevent other young people from failing into NEET situations? In my opinion, the precautions not to end up in the NEETS circle are: -Keep up to date on the various job opportunities or information courses that are offered in our countries or by the EU -Be willing and ready even to do a job maybe that doesn’t excite us very much but that we can need to grow. -Give your best in everything we do and push yourself to the limit.
