- Can you give us your opinion about the project “Breaking the NEET Cycle” and your Erasmus+ experience?
I want to start with the fact that the project was amazing. The project subject was a good and interesting. At the start I didn’t find the NEET problem that important but now I understand everything and I am trying to fix it. The Erasmus+ experience was amazing as well, since it’s my first Erasmus+ project. This experience made me understand a lot of things and I can’t wait to go to another project.
- How has your perspective on young people in NEET situations changed as a result of participating in this training course? What were the most valuable takeaways from the course for you personally?
After the project I started to understand why young people became NEET’s and how I need to help them for a better future. The most valuable takeaway from the project for me personally will be that every NEET has a different background and a different story so you can’t just resolve the problem by a universal solution. Every NEET need’s personal help so they can quit this situation. It’s a hard thing to do but after this project I have so many ideas on how I can help them and how I can became a better person by doing this.
- In your opinion, what are some effective methods to engage young NEETs and prevent other young people from falling into NEET situations?
The first method and the most effective in my opinion is therapy. I say this because a therapist will listen to you for hours and understand your story and how everything happend. The problems will always be different but having someone you can tell everything helps and the therapist will give the NEET advice as well so he will change his mentality in time. With small steps the NEET will start to change and understand that he is a valuable human. I don’t think there are more effective methods then this one because you need someone to listen to you and understand how everthing happend even a friend, parent, teacher or someone you trust can help you if they are going to listen to you and try to understand your situation
